Manoj Parmar holds a Bachelor and G.D. Arch degree from the L.S.R school of Architecture, 1986. He also holds M.Arch from the University of Miami, Fl. He has been teaching at KRVIA since 1992. His academic interests include theoretical writing on Architecture and Urbanism. He has also been in private practice of interior, architecture, urban design and project management since 1992. He has worked on numerous private and public housing/ institutional commissions across the country. He has been actively involved in re-development projects across the city of Mumbai. His key projects are also executed in Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore. He has been part of Urban Design Team for tourism development plan guidelines for Baticulao, Srilanka & Development guidelines for Slum redevelopment in Northern Suburb of Mumbai. He has presented his work at young architect’s forum at UDRI & CEPT University. He currently engages in Architectural Theory and Thesis at undergraduate level and Housing studio and Thesis at postgraduate level. He has contributed chapter writing (co-author) on “Unraveling Redevelopment” in book “Trends & Issues in Housing in Asia” published by Routledge, UK. He has also presented and published a paper on “Synchromesh Urbanism” as co-author in an international conference “Entrepreneur Urbanism” in Hong Kong.
