SanaeyaVandrewala is a Conservation Architect working in the field for the past 12 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Conservation from the University of York, UK and a Bachelors in Architecture (First Class with Honors) from the University of Mumbai. Sanaeya has been associated with several practices in both UK and India. She is a J.N.Tata fellow and has also received training under ICCROM, Attingham Trust-UK, and the York Glaziers Trust. Before joining KRVIA she was an Associate Conservation Architect at AbhaNarainLambah Associates and was the project architect for various prestigious historic landmarks around the country including Raj Bhawan- Nainital, Municipal Headquarters-Mumbai, MJP (Crawford) Market-Mumbai, Grant Medical College- Mumbai, Le Corbusier’s Capitol Complex- Chandigarh. She also specializes in Management plans for heritage sites such as Mahabodhi temple at Bodhgaya, Ajanta Caves to name a few and also World heritage nominations, of the most recent being the inscription of Mumbai on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List. Sanaeya is part of the core faculty at KRVIA and currently teaches the postgraduate course for Urban Design and Architectural and Urban Conservation.
